The Gersberg Alm is a family-run boutique hotel, and you can feel this in every detail: the service is there when you need it, and takes a back seat when you’re seeking peace and quiet.

The swimming pool is situated in our spacious gardens, surrounded by meadows and a tranquillity that is second to none. The water carries your gaze – over the treetops, across the city, all the way to Hohensalzburg Fortress, which stands watch in the distance as it always has.
All round the pool, comfortable sun loungers and the spacious pool terrace invite you to simply let the day unfold. Some hours spent here are not measured in minutes, but by how clear your head feels at the end.
The pool is open from May to October, daily from 7:30 to 20:00. An early dip in the water before breakfast is a must for many of our guests – the day rarely begins in a more refreshing way.

A dip in the cool water does not have to bring the day to an end. In the sauna area, a Finnish sauna, steam room and infrared cabin offer welcome warmth when temperatures drop outside. Afterwards, comfortable loungers invite you to relax and catch your breath.
If you prefer to stay active, simply grab a racket and a ball: the tennis court is right in front of the hotel. On rainy days, the skittles alley offers the chance to spend time together indoors, whatever the season.
The area surrounding the Gersberg Alm, one of the few hotels in Salzburg with an outdoor pool, is criss-crossed by easy and more challenging hiking trails leading up to the Gaisberg.

Head chef Florian Dornstauder and his team prepare everything fresh. Good food cannot be rushed, and you can taste the time and care that goes into every dish.
In summer, you can dine outdoors with views across the city below. One course follows another at an unhurried pace. The restaurant is a destination in its own right, not merely an extension of the hotel. Please book a table in advance.
The Gersberg Alm is situated on the Gaisberg, Salzburg’s local mountain, high above the city. You’ll be staying in the countryside, yet you’re still just fifteen minutes from the heart of Salzburg’s Old Town. Two worlds that are usually far apart come together here.
The Salzburg Guest Mobility Ticket, which includes public transport throughout the region, is provided for your journeys into town. There are parking spaces right outside the hotel, as well as charging points for electric vehicles.
A concert in Salzburg’s Old Town, a stroll through its winding alleyways or a trip to the nearby Salzkammergut: all of this is close by and waiting to be discovered.
