That is exactly what you will find at the Gersberg Alm: not a banquet hall with a hundred tables, but a house where every guest is known and looked after.
Anyone who chooses to get married here is making a conscious decision to leave behind the anonymity of large wedding venues. Our hosts, Marion and Johannes Hausberger, and their team personally look after every celebration from the very first enquiry, so that on the day itself, all you have to do is relax and enjoy every moment.

Our outdoor dining area overlooks the city like a box seat above the rooftops of Salzburg, with the Gaisberg behind it. There’s no need for a backdrop that has to be set up here, as the landscape takes on that role all by itself.
For your wedding reception, we’re not restricted to a single venue, regardless of where the vows were exchanged. The outdoor dining area is just as suitable as our open meadow, where a banquet or bar can be set up exactly as you wish.
The 'Almstüberl' is not a hall that needs to be filled with decorations to make an impression – it already has its own character.
Accommodating up to 45 people, the room offers the sense of intimacy that larger venues have to create artificially: short distances, a clear view of all the tables, and no distance between the bride and groom and their guests. When you celebrate here, you’re celebrating amongst yourselves.
Even for weddings, head chef Florian Dornstauder draws on what our restaurant stands for all year round: Austrian classics with a modern twist, down-to-earth at heart and with meticulous attention to detail.
The menu itself is never off-the-shelf: working closely with the bride and groom, the kitchen tailors every course to their wishes and preferences, resulting in a menu that is as personal as the day itself. In this way, the wedding party are also treated to cuisine that doesn’t try to be something it isn’t for this special occasion, but simply showcases what it’s capable of all year round.
As a wedding sometimes lasts longer than just one evening, we have 40 rooms (37 double rooms & 3 suites) available on the premises for our guests, so that no one has to drive home after the celebrations.
This means that, quite naturally, the celebrations turn into a weekend spent together – the festivities linger on once more over breakfast on the terrace before they become a memory.

The house is ideal for parties of up to 40 people. For groups of more than 40, this can be arranged in conjunction with a room booking.

Yes. The terrace, which overlooks Salzburg, is available for outdoor wedding ceremonies.

The Almstüberl can accommodate up to 45 people. We specialise in small, intimate celebrations – so the Gersberg Alm is not really the right venue for very large groups.
