Sauna & Panoramic Pool at the Gersberg Alm

Whether you’ve just been hiking on the Gaisberg, strolling through Salzburg’s Old Town, or simply fancy a quick break in between: in our small but exquisite sauna area, time stands still for a moment, creating a space for peace and relaxation.

On warm summer days, it transforms into a second, equally lovely spot: our panoramic outdoor pool. Surrounded by cool water, the lovingly landscaped gardens and sweeping views over Salzburg, here you’ll effortlessly find the sense of calm you’d hope for on a summer holiday in the mountains.

Your Salzburg Hotel with a Sauna Area

Warmth and tranquillity, without any fuss: our sauna area is available from 10 am to 8 pm – simply let reception know about 15 minutes beforehand, and we’ll get everything ready for you. Between sauna sessions, quiet relaxation loungers invite you to linger.

  • Finnish Sauna (85 degrees): intense, dry heat for the classic sauna session – a soothing source of warmth, especially in winter
  • Steam bath: gentle, moist heat that is equally beneficial for the respiratory tract and the skin.
  • Infrared Cabin: gentle, deep heat for those who prefer to take it easy.
Panoramic Pool Overlooking the Rooftops of the City of Salzburg

Whether you fancy a few quiet laps or simply floating in the cool water – our panoramic pool offers space for both, whilst the city at your feet recedes into the distance for a moment. After a day in Salzburg’s Old Town, a walk on the Gaisberg or a trip to the neighbouring Salzkammergut, our spacious gardens are the place where your horizons broaden and your pulse slows.

As the pool is naturally heated, its temperature is entirely dependent on the power of the sun – and it’s available to you from May to October.

Sometimes relaxation doesn’t begin in the water, but on the way there.

Through the extensive gardens of the Gersberg Alm – past ancient trees and a silence that you sense rather than hear.

With the Gaisberg behind you and the town a distance away: as you walk along here, with every step you leave a little bit of everyday life behind, even before the water touches your skin for the first time.
